Falling away with you

Well, if you're familiar with these waterdrop photos that some photographers do, you'll probably think this one is very simple and boring indeed. I'm submitting it though because it's my first one and I'm kind of proud (when I say first one, it was more like the 200th shot, but you know what I mean )

I'd seen amazing galleries of these before but was led to believe that one needed specialised equipment and thus assumed I could never do it But I recently saw a couple of amazing shots on DA and the specs didn't seem impossible for my camera, so today I decided to give it a go. Filled up a black mug with water, put it on the grass in the sun, splashed my finger in it and snapped away.

I know I have a lot of room for improvement, so if anyone has experience with this type of photography and feels like offering some tips, I'd be more than happy to hear them. I will definitely try some more of these shots later. For one thing, I forgot to use the flash last time, so I should try that.
